Buddy Benches, also known as friendship benches, are a popular new item on school playgrounds. The idea is simple. When a child feels lonely, they can simply sit on the Buddy Bench. This signals to other kids that they are feeling isolated. Ideally, other children will notice them, sit beside them on the special bench, talk to them and invite them to play.
